Grave is a romantic town, situated on the Maas, where it is pleasant to stay in the old centre and on the many terraces. The city centre of Grave still contains many old buildings and houses, many of which are also designated as national or municipal monuments. Renovation and restoration have been tackled rigorously. Since 1975, this years of work has borne fruit. A large number of restorations have been completed and, together with the new construction, Grave has regained its old atmosphere.
